About Michael Tesfaye
I’m Michael Tesfaye, your local guide in Addis Ababa and a firm believer that the best way to understand a city is to walk through it, taste it, photograph it, and politely interrogate its history. Addis is layered, lively, and occasionally determined to surprise you and luckily, I take that as part of the charm rather than a personal attack. I enjoy sharing the city beyond the obvious: historic corners, architecture, heritage sites, local traditions, food spots worth remembering, and the kind of stories that make places feel human instead of just “nice for a photo.” Whether you want a relaxed city walk, a deeper historical route, a night tour, a family friendly outing, or something tailored exactly to your pace, I’m happy to build an experience that fits. A few things I’m especially into: - History and storytelling with substance, not the sleepy textbook version - Local food and drink discoveries, because culture on an empty stomach is just ambition - Photography walks and memorable views - Custom routes for solo travelers, couples, families, groups, and curious people in general - Helping guests feel comfortable with practical details like transport, pickup, recommendations, and local support If you’re visiting Addis Ababa and want a guide who knows the city well, appreciates its character, and won’t treat your trip like a recycled script, we’ll get along just fine.
